Did St. Joseph drive a Bredemann Lexus? Experts disagree, but this weekend Bredemann Lexus will drive St. Joseph.

Saturday, October 23, Bredemann Lexus in Glenview is hosting the sixth annual St. Joseph Services Fall Festival.

There will be a dinner buffet and cash bar with music by the Sullivan Brothers Irish Band.

There will also be silent auctions featuring sports tickets, original artwork, jewelry and a week in Duck Key, Florida. (Duck Key is about halfway between Key Largo & Key West)

The not-for-profit St. Joseph Services is A Ministry of The Daughters of Charity. Dating back to 1861, the Daughters of Charity have a long history of serving people in & around Chicago. Over the years, these ministries have taken various forms that include schools, social centers, day care centers, outreach programs, parish ministries, plus shelters for women & children.

Following this long tradition of caring, the Daughters of Charity started St. Joseph Services in 2001. The goal was to develop an outreach ministry to work in partnership with parishes, non-profit institutions and agencies to serve and support families and individuals at risk, plus collaborating with them to strengthen and develop their values and skills.

This charity party is Saturday night from 7 to 11:30 and it's casual dress at a cost of $50/person. Bredemann Lexus is at 2000 Waukegan Road in Glenview.

BREDEMANN DEALERSHIPS SUPPORT AND PARTICIPATE IN AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY'S "REAL MEN WEAR PINK" CAMPAIGN

   
During the month of October, the Bredemann Family of Dealerships, which includes Toyota and Chevrolet in Park Ridgeand Ford and Lexus in Glenview, took part in the American Cancer Society's "Real Men Wear Pink" campaign.

This goal of this campaign was to encourage women 40 years of age and older to undergo annual mammograms. In support of the program, the Bredemann dealerships posted materials and made a coordinated effort among staff members to include the color pink in their work attire, reminding their customers of the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer.

"Many of our clients were very pleased and appreciative of our dealerships' efforts to draw attention to the necessity of yearly exams," said Marty Bredemann, General Manager of Bredemann Lexus. "All of us know someone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and if even one of our clients benefits from this reminder, we consider our participation in this campaign to be a success."
